WORKING HABIT AND STRATEGIES
Professor Chalood Nimsamer prefers to work daytime. Since he is
currently an adjunct professor and is working part-time for Silpakorn
University, he always devotes most of his free time after teaching to
art production.
Professor Chalood Nimsamer’s working character can be described as
being peaceful, heartfelt, and concerned about fellow human beings. He
always works with this nature whether he is working on whatever
techniques or stories. If the work satisfies his nature, he will be
happy. If not, he will keep moving ahead and develop new goals without
discouragement. His subjects and techniques change intermittently
through time since he is interested in numerous media of arts and is
gifted with them. Professor Chalood Nimsamer likes to experiment new
things and his experiments are quite successful. He is equally good at
painting, sculpturing, and printing. His paintings won a number of high
prizes and his printings received several gold medals. Not until he
finds himself satisfied with all types of works of art and that he
became eventually interested in mix media art.
In doing every piece of work, especially large sculptures, and when he
knows what to do and where to begin, he often sketch the work in his
mind and then collect data. If he found what meets the picture in his
mind, he will particularly concentrate on it and draws the draft. After
that he will begin with a sketch using clay or plaster and then further
develop more models for some times until he find the right model that
match the one in his mind. Finally, he will enlarge the model he like it
most. Therefore, once installed, each piece of work will include several
drafts such as drawings and plasters.
