Thavorn considered techniques as crucial as the development of the idea. Interesting art should reveal

artist‘s unique, both the idea and techniques. Thavorn’s process of creation is liberated from conventional

approaches. He developed his own techniques by joining eastern and western methods, not limiting

himself to graphic arts or to high art points of view. When he had an idea, he explored primary sources,

getting his hands on the actual objects, and searching through document. After researching the subject,

he began sketching. As Thavorn gained experiences, he moved directly from ideas to objects. He

appreciated natural beauty and worked them out. He didn’t plan much, but worked steadily, examined

carefully what he found, joined them in his images. He worked eagerly during his semester break, and

often traveled in search of creative inspiration.
